Bat Metalwork Truss Clips - 50 mm x 117 mm

The Bat Metalwork truss clip eliminates all the disadvantages of skew nailing, damaged connector plates, split rafters or wall plates. With skew nailing a satisfactory fixing cannot be guaranteed. Bat Metalwork truss clips provide a safe positive fixing on two planes. By fixing Bat Metalwork 30 mm x 9 smg square twisted sherardised nails through all the holes provided in the Bat Metalwork truss clip, it will resist an uplift on trusses up to 11 m span, spaced at 600 mm centres, in areas with a basic wind speed not exceeding 46 m per second. In areas of greater wind speeds the truss span will be proportionately less. It is essential that the wall plate to which these trusses are fixed is itself securely strapped to the supporting masonry.
