Ridge Tiles

Ridge tiles provide the essential finishing touch along the apex of your roof, creating a weathertight seal where two sloping surfaces meet. These protective caps prevent rain, wind, and debris from penetrating the roof structure while contributing significantly to your property's overall appearance. Available in various profiles and colours, the right ridge solution ensures both lasting protection and visual harmony with your chosen roofing materials.

Our Ridge Tile Selection

McMahons stocks a comprehensive range of apex finishes to suit traditional and contemporary roofing projects alike.

  • Half-round concrete ridge tiles - 500mm concrete ridge tiles for use at the roofline in conjunction with concrete tiles, compatible with mortar bedding, dry fix, and ventilated ridge systems. Available in four colours: black, turf brown, new brown, and grey.
  • Angled concrete ridge tiles - concrete ridge tiles in 90, 120, and 135 degree angles in blue/black, suited to different roof pitches where a square or angled ridge profile is required rather than a half-round section.
  • Dura universal clay ridge tile 440mm - a universal clay ridge tile compatible with a wide range of concrete and clay tile profiles, offering a traditional clay aesthetic for roofs where a closer match to natural materials is required.
  • PVC ridge cap profiles - 200mm x 200mm x 3m slate grey PVC ridge cap sections for finishing the ridge of corrugated sheet roofing, providing a weathertight cover over the apex without mortar or tile work.
  • Eco ventilated ridge roll - a 6m roll-out dry ridge and hip system providing high-tier ventilation at the ridge line. Self-adhesive butyl side flaps drape over the top tile course, reinforced central flat fixes to the ridge batten, eliminating the need for mortar bedding while meeting ventilation requirements.

Consider your existing roof covering first—concrete tiles pair best with concrete ridges, while natural slate roofs benefit from clay or specialist slate ridge components. For exposed locations, dry-fix systems offer superior wind uplift resistance compared to traditional mortar bedding and require less maintenance over time.
