Tip:
The thumb latch handle will always be fitted to the side of the door opening away from you, while the latch bar is fitted to the side opening towards you. Please take this into account if you are considering a Locking Staple, which is designed to be fixed to the latch bar side
Note:
Beeswax is used as a natural protective layer and can be sticky to touch. Excess wax can be removed with a mild solvent, such as WD-40, and a soft cloth. Maintain your hand forged latch with an occasional rub of beeswax
