Rockwool Cavity Fire Barrier SCB 110mmx1200mm

The Rockwool SCB Fire Barrier consists of stone wool insulation strips encased in a protective polythene sleeve. Made under compression, the fire barrier prevents the movement of smoke and fire inside masonry cavities in steel frame and timber constructions. The SCB reduces heat loss by restricting air flow around the exposed edges in the party wall cavity. It does this by creating an effective perimeter edge seal when it is used to close the junction between a party wall and the external cavity. The Fire Barrier is a flexible closer that can trap sound waves which helps reduce transmission through cavities.
